Jewelry Care

Sterling Silver

The beautiful 925 Sterling Silver is an alloy that is made out of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper. Our jewelry is plated with Rhodium, which is a rare precious metal that gives our pieces their extra shine and durability.

Care Point: Keep it away from water, H20 will oxidize the sterling silver over time. But, the good part is, the oils in your skin keep it from corroding, so wear it often. Keep your 925 Sterling Silver Jewelry is a dark, cool, and dry place.

Gold Vermeil

(pronounced as ver-may!!) Not your regular Gold plating, Gold Vermeil is a high-quality plating with a thick layer of gold of 1.5 microns and between 14K - 24K.

Care Point: Keep it away from water and sweat, so no showering or working out wearing the jewelry. The metal shouldn’t come in contact with perfume or other sprays, so apply your perfume before wearing the jewelry. Never use chemical cleaners to clean the jewelry, it can possibly strip the gold finish. Use a very soft, microfiber cloth for cleaning the jewelry, and keep it in a pouch.

Gemstones

The gemstones used are of high quality and rarity. Our women artisans use a multitude of semi-precious stones for our jewelry.

Care Point: Keep them shining and sparkling by cleaning it with soap and water. Dip a brush in the water and clean your jewelry with that. Do not use chemicals or excessive temperature to clean the piece.

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel jewelry is durable, strong, rust-resistant. Even though it has a silver sheen, though unlike silver, it is not susceptible to dents or dings, neither will it corrode easily. It is considered as one of the most sustainable metals to be ever used in making jewelry.

Care Point: It is easy to take care of, even though it won’t corrode, it can scratch, so store it separately from other jewelry pieces in an individual bag or a pouch.
