Ring Size Guide

Measure an Existing Ring

  • Get an existing ring of yours that fits the finger you wish to measure
  • Now, place that ring on a piece of paper
  • Trace the internal diameter of the ring with a pencil/pen
  • Now, with the help of a scale, measure that diameter (in mm)
  • Use the following chart to determine your ring size

The Thread/Paper Method

  • Cut a small, thin strip of paper of about an inch or two
  • Now, wrap that piece of paper around the finger you want to measure
  • It should sit snug against your finger, pull it as tight as possible
  • Now, with a pencil/pen mark the spot where the paper meets
  • With a ruler, measure the distance from your end to the mark (in mm)
  • This will measure the circumference of your finger
  • Use the following chart to determine your ring size
  • You can also follow this method using a piece of thread

Keep In Mind

  • The best time to measure your ring size is in the evening as your fingers are largest at the end of the day
  • Salt and alcohol can make your fingers swell. Don’t measure your ring size right after drinking and dining
  • The average Indian size is between 5-7 (Ring Size USA). So, if you are still unable to measure your ring size properly, go for the average
  • Cold weather can shrink your fingers up to half a size, so make sure they’re warm
  • If your ring size falls between two sizes, then always go with the one on the upper side
